22426110c5 mlir/tblgen: use std::optional in generation
This is part of an effort to migrate from llvm::Optional to
std::optional. This patch changes the way mlir-tblgen generates .inc
files, and modifies tests and documentation appropriately. It is a "no
compromises" patch, and doesn't leave the user with an unpleasant mix of
llvm::Optional and std::optional.

A non-trivial change has been made to ControlFlowInterfaces to split one
constructor into two, relating to a build failure on Windows.

4433e52e69 [mlir] Fix circular dialect initialization
This change fixes a bug where a dialect is initialized multiple times. This triggers an assertion when the ops of the dialect are registered (`error: operation named ... is already registered`).

This bug can be triggered as follows:

1. Dialect A depends on dialect B (as per ADialect.td).

2. Somewhere there is an extension of dialect B that depends on dialect A (e.g., it defines external models create ops from dialect A). E.g.:
```
registry.addExtension(+[](MLIRContext *ctx, BDialect *dialect) {
  BDialectOp::attachInterface ...
  ctx->loadDialect<ADialect>();
});
```

3. When dialect A is loaded, its `initialize` function is called twice:

```
     ADialect::ADialect()
        |     |
        |     v
        |   ADialect::initialize()
        v
     getOrLoadDialect<BDialect>()
        |
        v
     (load extension of BDialect)
        |
        v
     ctx->loadDialect<ADialect>()  // user wrote this in the extension
        |
        v
     getOrLoadDialect<ADialect>()  // the dialect is not "fully" loaded yet
        |
        v
     ADialect::ADialect()
        |
        v
     ADialect::initialize()
```

An example of a dialect extension that depends on other dialects is `Dialect/Tensor/Transforms/BufferizableOpInterfaceImpl.cpp`. That particular dialect extension does not trigger this bug. (It would trigger this bug if the SCF dialect would depend on the Tensor dialect.)

This change introduces a new dialect state: dialects that are currently being loaded. Same as dialects that were already fully loaded (and initialized), dialects that are in the process of being loaded are not loaded a second time.

4957518ef5 [mlir][ods] Simplify useDefaultType/AttributePrinterParser
The current behaviour of `useDefaultTypePrinterParser` and `useDefaultAttributePrinterParser` is that they are set by default, but the dialect generator only generates the declarations for the parsing and printing hooks if it sees dialect types and attributes. Same goes for the definitions generated by the AttrOrTypeDef generator.

This can lead to confusing and undesirable behaviour if the dialect generator doesn't see the definitions of the attributes and types, for example, if they are sensibly separated into different files: `Dialect.td`, `Ops.td`, `Attributes.td`, and `Types.td`.

Now, these bits are unset by default. Setting them will always result in the dialect generator emitting the declarations for the parsing hooks. And if the AttrOrTypeDef generator sees it set, it will generate the default implementations.

f3ebf828dc [mlir] Generate Dialect constructors in .cpp instead of .h
By generating in the .h file, we were forcing dialects to include
a lot of additional header files because:

* Fields of the dialect, e.g. std::unique_ptr<>, were unable to use
  forward declarations.
* Dependent dialects are loaded in the constructor, requiring the
  full definition of each dependent dialect (which, depending on
  the file structure of the dialect, may include the operations).

By generating in the .cpp we get much faster builds, and also
better align with the rest of the code base.

5e50dd048e [mlir] Rework the implementation of TypeID
This commit restructures how TypeID is implemented to ideally avoid
the current problems related to shared libraries. This is done by changing
the "implicit" fallback path to use the name of the type, instead of using
a static template variable (which breaks shared libraries). The major downside to this
is that it adds some additional initialization costs for the implicit path. Given the
use of type names for uniqueness in the fallback, we also no longer allow types
defined in anonymous namespaces to have an implicit TypeID. To simplify defining
an ID for these classes, a new `MLIR_DEFINE_EXPLICIT_INTERNAL_INLINE_TYPE_ID` macro
was added to allow for explicitly defining a TypeID directly on an internal class.

To help identify when types are using the fallback, `-debug-only=typeid` can be
used to log which types are using implicit ids.

This change generally only requires changes to the test passes, which are all defined
in anonymous namespaces, and thus can't use the fallback any longer.

485cc55edf [mlir] Generare .cpp.inc files for dialects.
* Previously, we were only generating .h.inc files. We foresee the need to also generate implementations and this is a step towards that.
* Discussed in https://llvm.discourse.group/t/generating-cpp-inc-files-for-dialects/3732/2
* Deviates from the discussion above by generating a default constructor in the .cpp.inc file (and adding a tablegen bit that disables this in case if this is user provided).
* Generating the destructor started as a way to flush out the missing includes (produces a link error), but it is a strict improvement on its own that is worth doing (i.e. by emitting key methods in the .cpp file, we root vtables in one translation unit, which is a non-controversial improvement).

Dialect-wide canonicalization patterns are useful if a canonicalization pattern does not conceptually associate with any single operation, i.e., it should not be registered as part of an operation's `getCanonicalizationPatterns` function. d905c10353 Add a mechanism for Dialects to provide a fallback for OpInterface
This mechanism makes it possible for a dialect to not register all
operations but still answer interface-based queries.
This can useful for dialects that are "open" or connected to an external

possibility to have a more extensible compiler at runtime: the compiler
does not need a pre-registration for each operation and the dialect can
inject behavior dynamically.

f9dc2b7079 Separate the Registration from Loading dialects in the Context
This changes the behavior of constructing MLIRContext to no longer load globally
registered dialects on construction. Instead Dialects are only loaded explicitly
on demand:
- the Parser is lazily loading Dialects in the context as it encounters them
during parsing. This is the only purpose for registering dialects and not load
them in the context.
- Passes are expected to declare the dialects they will create entity from
(Operations, Attributes, or Types), and the PassManager is loading Dialects into
the Context when starting a pipeline.

This changes simplifies the configuration of the registration: a compiler only
need to load the dialect for the IR it will emit, and the optimizer is
self-contained and load the required Dialects. For example in the Toy tutorial,
the compiler only needs to load the Toy dialect in the Context, all the others
(linalg, affine, std, LLVM, ...) are automatically loaded depending on the
optimization pipeline enabled.

To adjust to this change, stop using the existing dialect registration: the
global registry will be removed soon.

1) For passes, you need to override the method:

virtual void getDependentDialects(DialectRegistry &registry) const {}

and registery on the provided registry any dialect that this pass can produce.
Passes defined in TableGen can provide this list in the dependentDialects list
field.

2) For dialects, on construction you can register dependent dialects using the
provided MLIRContext: `context.getOrLoadDialect<DialectName>()`
This is useful if a dialect may canonicalize or have interfaces involving
another dialect.

3) For loading IR, dialect that can be in the input file must be explicitly
registered with the context. `MlirOptMain()` is taking an explicit registry for
this purpose. See how the standalone-opt.cpp example is setup:

  mlir::DialectRegistry registry;
  registry.insert<mlir::standalone::StandaloneDialect>();
  registry.insert<mlir::StandardOpsDialect>();

Only operations from these two dialects can be in the input file. To include all
of the dialects in MLIR Core, you can populate the registry this way:

  mlir::registerAllDialects(registry);

4) For `mlir-translate` callback, as well as frontend, Dialects can be loaded in
the context before emitting the IR: context.getOrLoadDialect<ToyDialect>()

This changes the behavior of constructing MLIRContext to no longer load globally registered dialects on construction. Instead Dialects are only loaded explicitly on demand:
- the Parser is lazily loading Dialects in the context as it encounters them during parsing. This is the only purpose for registering dialects and not load them in the context.
- Passes are expected to declare the dialects they will create entity from (Operations, Attributes, or Types), and the PassManager is loading Dialects into the Context when starting a pipeline.

This changes simplifies the configuration of the registration: a compiler only need to load the dialect for the IR it will emit, and the optimizer is self-contained and load the required Dialects. For example in the Toy tutorial, the compiler only needs to load the Toy dialect in the Context, all the others (linalg, affine, std, LLVM, ...) are automatically loaded depending on the optimization pipeline enabled.

575b22b5d1 Revisit Dialect registration: require and store a TypeID on dialects
This patch moves the registration to a method in the MLIRContext: getOrCreateDialect<ConcreteDialect>()

This method requires dialect to provide a static getDialectNamespace()
and store a TypeID on the Dialect itself, which allows to lazyily
create a dialect when not yet loaded in the context.
As a side effect, it means that duplicated registration of the same
dialect is not an issue anymore.

To limit the boilerplate, TableGen dialect generation is modified to
emit the constructor entirely and invoke separately a "init()" method
that the user implements.

2e2cdd0a52 [mlir] Refactor InterfaceGen to support generating interfaces for Attributes and Types.
This revision adds support to ODS for generating interfaces for attributes and types, in addition to operations. These interfaces can be specified using `AttrInterface` and `TypeInterface` in place of `OpInterface`. All of the features of `OpInterface` are supported except for the `verify` method, which does not have a matching representation in the Attribute/Type world. Generating these interface can be done using `gen-(attr|type)-interface-(defs|decls|docs)`.
