09058654f6 [RISCV] Remove experimental from Vector Crypto extensions (#74213)
The RISC-V vector crypto extensions have been ratified. This patch
updates the Clang and LLVM support for these extensions to be
non-experimental, while leaving the C intrinsics as experimental since
the C intrinsics are not yet standardized.

3fe81410b2 [clang][RISCV] Change default abi with f extension but without d extension (#73489)
Now we have default abi lp64 for rv64if and ilp32 for rv32if, which is
different with riscv-gnu-toolchain. In
8e9fb09a0c/configure (L3385)
when have f and not d, it prefers lp64f/ilp32f but no soft float. This
patch tries to make their behaviors consistent.

4070dffd34 [llvm-objcopy] Add --gap-fill and --pad-to options (#65815)
`--gap-fill <value>` fills the gaps between sections with a specified
8-bit value, instead of zero.
`--pad-to <address>` pads the output binary up to the specified load
address, using the 8-bit value from `--gap-fill` or zero.

These options are only supported for ELF input and binary output.

d5c95302b9 [C API] Add getters and setters for fast-math flags on relevant instructions (#75123)
These flags are usable on floating point arithmetic, as well as call,
select, and phi instructions whose resulting type is floating point, or
a vector of, or an array of, a valid type. Whether or not the flags are
valid for a given instruction can be checked with the new
LLVMCanValueUseFastMathFlags function.

These are exposed using a new LLVMFastMathFlags type, which is an alias
for unsigned. An anonymous enum defines the bit values for it.

Tests are added in echo.ll for select/phil/call, and the floating point
types in the new float_ops.ll bindings test.

Select and the floating point arithmetic instructions were not
implemented in llvm-c-test/echo.cpp, so they were added as well.

f576cbe44e [AArch64] Correctly mark Neoverse N2 as an Armv9.0a core (#75055)
Neoverse N2 was incorrectly marked as an Armv8.5a core. This has been
changed to an Armv9.0a core. However, crypto options are not enabled
by default for Armv9 cores, so -mcpu=neoverse-n2+crypto is required
to enable crypto for this core.

c43c86c285 DEBUGINFOD based DWP acquisition for LLDB (#70996)
I've plumbed the LLVM DebugInfoD client into LLDB, and added automatic
downloading of DWP files to the SymbolFileDWARF.cpp plugin. If you have
DEBUGINFOD_URLS set to a space delimited set of web servers, LLDB will
try to use them as a last resort when searching for DWP files. If you do
*not* have that environment variable set, nothing should be changed.
There's also a setting, per @clayborg 's suggestion, that will override
the environment variable, or can be used instead of the environment
variable. The setting is why I also needed to add an API to the
llvm-debuginfod library

### Test Plan:

Suggestions are welcome here. I should probably have some positive and
negative tests, but I wanted to get the diff up for people who have a
clue what they're doing to rip it to pieces before spending too much
time validating the initial implementation.

6d6baef5c9 [X86] Support CFE flags for APX features (#74199)
Positive options: -mapx-features=<comma-separated-features>
Negative options: -mno-apx-features=<comma-separated-features>

-m[no-]apx-features is designed to be able to control separate APX
features.

Besides, we also support the flag -m[no-]apxf, which can be used like an
alias of -m[no-]apx-features=< all APX features covered by CPUID APX_F>

Behaviour when positive and negative options are used together:

For boolean flags, the last one wins

-mapxf   -mno-apxf   -> -mno-apxf
-mno-apxf   -mapxf   -> -mapxf

For flags that take a set as arguments, it sets the mask by order of the
flags

-mapx-features=egpr,ndd  -mno-apx-features=egpr  ->   -egpr,+ndd
-mapx-features=egpr  -mno-apx-features=egpr,ndd  ->   -egpr,-ndd
-mno-apx-features=egpr  -mapx-features=egpr,ndd  ->   +egpr,+ndd
-mno-apx-features=egpr,ndd  -mapx-features=egpr  ->   -ndd,+egpr

1a3b14d261 [RISCV] Add C intrinsics for scalar bitmanip and crypto
This adds riscv_bitmanip and riscv_crypto.h

This is based on the proposed spec here https://github.com/riscv-non-isa/riscv-c-api-doc/pull/44

Tests that previously used builtins directly now use the intrinsics.

0e24179797 [SelectionDAG] Add support to filter SelectionDAG dumps during ISel by function names (#72696)
`-debug-only=isel-dump` is the new debug type for printing SelectionDAG
after each ISel phase. This can be furthered filter by
`-filter-print-funcs=<function names>`.
Note that the existing `-debug-only=isel` will take precedence over the
new behavior and print SelectionDAG dumps of every single function
regardless of `-filter-print-funcs`'s values.

a3fe9221ab Remove hardware index from watchpoints and breakpoints (#72012)
The Watchpoint and Breakpoint objects try to track the hardware index
that was used for them, if they are hardware wp/bp's. The majority of
our debugging goes over the gdb remote serial protocol, and when we set
the watchpoint/breakpoint, there is no (standard) way for the remote
stub to communicate to lldb which hardware index was used. We have an
lldb-extension packet to query the total number of watchpoint registers.

When a watchpoint is hit, there is an lldb extension to the stop reply
packet (documented in lldb-gdb-remote.txt) to describe the watchpoint
including its actual hardware index,

<addr within wp range> <wp hw index> <actual accessed address>

(the third field is specifically needed for MIPS). At this point, if the
stub reported these three fields (the stub is only required to provide
the first), we can know the actual hardware index for this watchpoint.

Breakpoints are worse; there's never any way for us to be notified about
which hardware index was used. Breakpoints got this as a side effect of
inherting from StoppointSite with Watchpoints.

We expose the watchpoint hardware index through "watchpoint list -v" and
through SBWatchpoint::GetHardwareIndex.

With my large watchpoint support, there is no *single* hardware index
that may be used for a watchpoint, it may need multiple resources. Also
I don't see what a user is supposed to do with this information, or an
IDE. Knowing the total number of watchpoint registers on the target, and
knowing how many Watchpoint Resources are currently in use, is helpful.
Knowing how many Watchpoint Resources
a single user-specified watchpoint needed to be implemented is useful.
But knowing which registers were used is an implementation detail and
not available until we hit the watchpoint when using gdb remote serial
protocol.

So given all that, I'm removing watchpoint hardware index numbers. I'm
changing the SB API to always return -1.

17764d2c87 [IR] Remove FP cast constant expressions (#71408)
Remove support for the fptrunc, fpext, fptoui, fptosi, uitofp and sitofp
constant expressions. All places creating them have been removed
beforehand, so this just removes the APIs and uses of these constant
expressions in tests.

With this, the only remaining FP operation that still has constant
expression support is fcmp.

e144ae54dc [symbolizer] Support symbol lookup
Recent versions of GNU binutils starting from 2.39 support symbol+offset
lookup in addition to the usual numeric address lookup. This change adds
symbol lookup to llvm-symbolize and llvm-addr2line.

Now llvm-symbolize behaves closer to GNU addr2line, - if the value specified
as address in command line or input stream is not a number, it is treated as
a symbol name. For example:

    llvm-symbolize --obj=abc.so func_22
    llvm-symbolize --obj=abc.so "CODE func_22"

This lookup is now supported only for functions. Specification with
offset is not supported yet.

This is a recommit of 2b27948783, reverted
in 39fec5457c because the test
llvm/test/Support/interrupts.test started failing on Windows. The test was
changed in 18f036d010 and is also updated in
this commit.

The ABI parameter is used by a number of common backends, including ARM,
MIPS, PPC, and RISCV. Exposing it via the C API makes it possible for
users of those backends to configure the ABI without custom bindings.

d8abce1181 [lldb][AArch64] Read mte_ctrl register from core files (#69689)
This register reports the configuration of the AArch64 Linux tagged
address ABI, part of which is the memory tagging (MTE) settings.

It will always be present in core files because even without MTE, there
are parts of the tagged address ABI that can be configured (these parts
use the Top Byte Ignore feature).

I missed adding this when I previously worked on MTE support. Until now
you could read memory tags from a core file but not this register.

bb826951dc [lldb][AArch64] Add release notes and documentation for SME (#66767)
This adds a release note for all the SME support now in LLDB and a page
where I have documented the user experience (for want of a better term)
when using SVE and SME.

This includes things like which mode transitions can or cannot be
triggered from within LLDB. I hope this will serve to A: document what
I've implemented and B: be a user's guide to these extensions.

(though it is not a design document, read the commits and code for that
sort of detail)

93229c7bfd [lldb] Add SBType::FindDirectNestedType() function (#68705)
This patch adds a `SBType::FindDirectNestedType(name)` function which performs a non-recursive search in given class for a type with specified name. The intent is to perform a fast search in debug info, so that it can be used in formatters, and let them remain responsive.

This is driven by my work on formatters for Clang and LLVM types. In particular, by [`PointerIntPairInfo::MaskAndShiftConstants`](cde9f9df79/llvm/include/llvm/ADT/PointerIntPair.h (L174C16-L174C16)), which is required to extract pointer and integer from `PointerIntPair`.

a21abc782a [X86] Align i128 to 16 bytes in x86 datalayouts
This is an attempt at rebooting https://reviews.llvm.org/D28990

I've included AutoUpgrade changes to modify the data layout to satisfy the compatible layout check. But this does mean alloca, loads, stores, etc in old IR will automatically get this new alignment.

This should fix PR46320.

eae1e28cc2 [RISCV] Mark the Zfa extension as non-experimental (#68113)
Following the version bump in #67964 and the bug fix in #68026 I believe
we're ready to mark Zfa as non-experimental. I'll note the GCC torture
suite passes now with Zfa enabled (though it's more of a litmus test
than anything else).

18c3c46858 [RISCV] Update Zfa extension version to 1.0 (#67964)
The Zfa specification was recently ratified
<https://wiki.riscv.org/display/HOME/Recently+Ratified+Extensions>. This
commit bumps the version to 1.0, but leaves it as an experimental
extension (to be done in a follow-on patch), so reviews can focus on
confirming there haven't been spec changes we have missed (which as
noted below, is more difficult than usual).

Because the development of the Zfa spec overlapped with the transition
of riscv-isa-manual from LaTeX to AsciiDoc, it's more difficult than
usual to confirm version changes. The linked PDF in RISCVUsage is for
some reason a 404. Key commit histories to review are:

c649f29c24 [llvm-nm] Add --line-numbers flag
This parallels the binutils/BSD flag of the same name. Debugging
information is loaded to print line number information for symbols.
Defined symbols are symbolized by their section addresses, and undefined
symbols by their first text reloc with line info.

72a7024add AMDGPU: Correctly lower llvm.sqrt.f32
Make codegen emit correctly rounded sqrt by default.

Emit the fast but only kind of fast expansion in AMDGPUCodeGenPrepare
based on !fpmath, like the fdiv case. Hack around visitation ordering
problems from AMDGPUCodeGenPrepare using forward iteration instead of
a well behaved combiner.

02a3754783 [Windows] Avoid using FileIndex for unique IDs
The FileIndex values returned from GetFileInformationByHandle are
considered stable and uniquely identifying a file, as long as the
handle is open. When handles are closed, there are no guarantees
for their stability or uniqueness. On some file systems (such as
NTFS), the indices are documented to be stable even across handles.
But with some file systems, in particular network mounts, file
indices can be reused very soon after handles are closed.

When such file indices are used for LLVM's UniqueID, files are
considered duplicates as soon as the filesystem driver happens to
have used the same file index for the handle used to inspect the
file. This caused widespread, non-obvious (seemingly random)
breakage. This can happen e.g. if running on a directory that is
shared via Remote Desktop or VirtualBox.

To avoid the issue, use a hash of the canonicalized path for the
file as unique identifier, instead of using FileIndex.

This fixes https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/issues/61401 and
https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/issues/22079.

Performance wise, this adds (usually) one extra call to
GetFinalPathNameByHandleW for each call to getStatus(). A test
cases such as running clang-scan-deps becomes around 1% slower
by this, which is considered tolerable.

Change the equivalent() function to use getUniqueID instead of
checking individual file_status fields. The
equivalent(Twine,Twine,bool& result) function calls status() on
each path successively, without keeping the file handles open,
which also is prone to such false positives. This also gets rid
of checks of other superfluous fields in the
equivalent(file_status, file_status) function - the unique ID of
a file should be enough (that is what is done for Unix anyway).

This comes with one known caveat: For hardlinks, each name for
the file now gets a different UniqueID, and equivalent() considers
them different. While that's not ideal, occasional false negatives
for equivalent() is usually that fatal (the cases where we strictly
do need to deduplicate files with different path names are quite
rare) compared to the issues caused by false positives for
equivalent() (where we'd deduplicate and omit totally distinct files).

The FileIndex is documented to be stable on NTFS though, so ideally
we could maybe have used it in the majority of cases. That would
require a heuristic for whether we can rely on FileIndex or not.
We considered using the existing function is_local_internal for that;
however that caused an unacceptable performance regression
(clang-scan-deps became 38% slower in one test, even more than that
in another test).

eb81493e95 [llvm-readelf] Add --extra-sym-info (#65580)
GNU readelf introduced --extra-sym-info/-X to display the section name
for --syms (https://sourceware.org/PR30684). Port the feature, which is
currently llvm-readelf only.

For STO_AARCH64_VARIANT_PCS/STO_RISCV_VARIANT_PCS, the Ndx and Name
columns may not be aligned.

b14e83d1a4 IR: Add llvm.exp10 intrinsic
We currently have log, log2, log10, exp and exp2 intrinsics. Add exp10
to fix this asymmetry. AMDGPU already has most of the code for f32
exp10 expansion implemented alongside exp, so the current
implementation is duplicating nearly identical effort between the
compiler and library which is inconvenient.

5f8ee45d5a AMDGPU: Implement llvm.get.rounding
There are really two rounding modes, so only return the standard
values if both modes are the same. Otherwise, return a bitmask
representing the two modes.

Annoyingly the register doesn't use the same values as FLT_ROUNDS. Use
a simple integer table we can shift into to convert.

1792852f86 [symbolizer] Change reaction on invalid input
If llvm-symbolizer finds a malformed command, it echoes it to the
standard output. New versions of binutils (starting from 2.39) allow to
specify an address by a symbols. Implementation of this feature in
llvm-symbolizer makes the current reaction on invalid input
inappropriate. Almost any invalid command may be treated as a symbol
name, so the right reaction should be "symbol not found" in such case.

The exception are commands that are recognized but have incorrect
syntax, like "FILE:FILE:". The utility must produce descriptive
diagnostic for such input and route it to the stderr.

This change implements the new reaction on invalid input and is a
prerequisite for implementation of symbol lookup in llvm-symbolizer.

this removes support for and and or constant expressions. Places
creating such expressions have been migrated in advance, so this
is mostly API removal and test updates.

9478f661c2 [Driver] Refactor to use llvm Option's new Visibility flags
This is a big refactor of the clang driver's option handling to use
the Visibility flags introduced in https://reviews.llvm.org/D157149.
There are a few distinct parts, but they can't really be split into
separate commits and still be made to compile.

1. We split out some of the flags in ClangFlags to ClangVisibility.
   Note that this does not include any subtractive flags.

2. We update the Flag definitions and OptIn/OptOut constructs in
   Options.td by hand.

3. We introduce and use a script, update_options_td_flags, to ease
   migration of flag definitions in Options.td, and we run that on
   Options.td. I intend to remove this later, but I'm committing it so
   that downstream forks can use the script to simplify merging.

4. We update calls to OptTable in the clang driver, cc1as, flang, and
   clangd to use the visibility APIs instead of Include/Exclude flags.

5. We deprecate the Include/Exclude APIs and add a release note.

Note that https://reviews.llvm.org/D157150 may also be the culprit and
if so it should be handled first.

The script in `clang/utils/update_options_td_flags.py` can help. Take
the downstream side of all conflicts and then run the following:

% cd clang/include/clang/Driver
% ../../../utils/update_options_td_flags.py Options.td > Options.td.new
% mv Options.td.new Options.td
```

This will hopefully be sufficient, please take a look at the diff.

69fdbdc449 [lldb] Remove support for SBHostOS threading functionality
As stated on Discourse*, these methods have been deprecated. I am
removing their implementation. They will now do nothing and return a
value indicating failure (where appropriate).
Due to the LLDB project's commitment to ABI stability at the SB API
layer, we cannot remove these symbols completely.

This change is causing problems with Windows build bots due to a hanging zombie llvm-symbolizer.exe process.

a5fe6c7f5e [symbolizer] Change reaction on invalid input
If llvm-symbolizer finds a malformed command, it echoes it to the
standard output. New versions of binutils (starting from 2.39) allow to
specify an address by a symbols. Implementation of this feature in
llvm-symbolizer makes the current reaction on invalid input
inappropriate. Almost any invalid command may be treated as a symbol
name, so the right reaction should be "symbol not found" in such case.

The exception are commands that are recognized but have incorrect
syntax, like "FILE:FILE:". The utility must produce descriptive
diagnostic for such input and route it to the stderr.

This change implements the new reaction on invalid input and is a
prerequisite for implementation of symbol lookup in llvm-symbolizer.
