9ed72d4d4d [lldb][NFCI] Replace bespoke iterator check with std::next
The primary goal of this change is to change `if (pair != *(--m_dict.end()))`
to `if (std::next(iter) != m_dict.end())`. I was experimenting with
changing the underlying type of `m_dict` and found that this was an
issue. Specifically, it assumes that m_dict iterators are bidirectional.
This change should make it so we only need to assume m_dict iterators can move
forward.

d37642b4a2 Simplify address mask setting logic in AddressableBits
I wrote some complicated conditionals for how to handle a partially
specified AddressableBits object in https://reviews.llvm.org/D158041 ,
and how to reuse existing masks if they were set and we had an
unspecified value.

I don't think this logic is the right thing to start
with.  Simplify back to the most straightforward
setting, where only the bits that have been specified
are set in the Process.

6f4a0c762f hi/low addr space bits can be sent in stop-rely packet
Add support for the `low_mem_addressing_bits` and
`high_mem_addressing_bits` keys in the stop reply packet,
in addition to the existing `addressing_bits`.  Same
behavior as in the qHostInfo packet.

Clean up AddressableBits so we don't need to check if
any values have been set in the object before using it
to potentially update the Process address masks.

2e7aa2ee34 Replace the singleton "ShadowListener" with a primary and N secondary Listeners
Before the addition of the process "Shadow Listener" you could only have one
Listener observing the Process Broadcaster.  That was necessary because fetching the
Process event is what switches the public process state, and for the execution
control logic to be manageable you needed to keep other listeners from causing
this to happen before the main process control engine was ready.

Ismail added the notion of a "ShadowListener" - which allowed you ONE
extra process listener.  This patch inverts that setup by designating the
first listener as primary - and giving it priority in fetching events.

3ad618f4ae Update qHostInfo/LC_NOTE so multiple address bits can be specified
On AArch64 systems, we may have different page table setups for
low memory and high memory, and therefore a different number of
bits used for addressing depending on which half of memory the
address is in.

This patch extends the qHostInfo and LC_NOTE "addrable bits" so
that it can specify the number of addressing bits in high memory
and in low memory separately.  It builds on the patch I added in
https://reviews.llvm.org/D151292 where Process tracks the separate
address masks, and there is a user setting to set them manually.

5551657b31 [lldb] Add missing StringExtras.h includes
In preparation for removing the `#include "llvm/ADT/StringExtras.h"`
from the header to source file of `llvm/Support/Error.h`, first add in
all the missing includes that were previously included transitively
through this header.

This is fixing all files missed in b0abd4893f, 39d8e6e22c, and
a11efd4926.

8f7e41d040 [lldb][NFCI] Minor cleanups to StructuredData::GetObjectForDotSeparatedPath
This accomplishes a few minor things:
- Removed unnecessary uses of `this->`
- Removed an unnecessary std::string allocation.
- Removed some nesting to improve readability using early returns where
  it makes sense.
- Replaced `strtoul` with `llvm::to_integer` which avoids another
  std::string allocation.
- Removed braces from single statement conditions, removed
  else-after-returns.

51944e78bb [lldb] Add two-level caching in the source manager
We recently saw an uptick in internal reports complaining that LLDB is
slow when sources on network file systems are inaccessible. I looked at
the SourceManger and its cache and I think there’s some room for
improvement in terms of reducing file system accesses:

 1. We always resolve the path.
 2. We always check the timestamp.
 3. We always recheck the file system for negative cache hits.

D153726 fixes (1) but (2) and (3) are necessary because of the cache’s
current design. Source files are cached at the debugger level which
means that the source file cache can span multiple targets and
processes. It wouldn't be correct to not reload a modified or new file
from disk.

We can however significantly reduce the number of file system accesses
by using a two level cache design: one cache at the debugger level and
one at the process level:

 - The cache at the debugger level works the way it does today. There is
   no negative cache: if we can't find the file on disk, we'll try again
   next time the cache is queried. If a cached file's timestamp changes
   or if its path remapping changes, the cached file is evicted and we
   reload it from disk.
 - The cache at the process level is design to avoid accessing the file
   system. It doesn't check the file's modification time. It caches
   negative results, so if a file didn't exist, it doesn't try to reread
   it from disk. Checking if the path remapping changed is cheap
   (doesn't involve checking the file system) and is the only way for a
   file to get evicted from the process cache.

The result of this patch is that LLDB will not show you new content if a
file is modified or created while a process is running. I would argue
that this is what most people would expect, but it is a change from how
LLDB behaves today.

For an average stop, we query the source cache 4 times. With the current
implementation, that's 4 stats to get the modification time, If the file
doesn't exist on disk, that's an additional 4 stats. Before D153726, if
the path starts with a ~ there are another additional 4 calls to
realpath. When debugging sources on a slow (network) file system, this
quickly adds up.

In addition to the two level caching, this patch also adds a source
logging channel and synchronization to the source file cache. The
logging was helpful during development and hopefully will help us triage
issues in the future. The synchronization isn't a new requirement: as
the cache is shared across targets, there is no guarantees that it can't
be accessed concurrently. The patch also fixes a bug where we would only
set the source remapping ID if the un-remapped file didn't exist, which
led to the file getting evicted from the cache on every access.

956f5c5f6d [lldb] Use SmallVector for handling register data
Previously lldb was using arrays of size kMaxRegisterByteSize to handle
registers. This was set to 256 because the largest possible register
we support is Arm's scalable vectors (SVE) which can be up to 256 bytes long.

This means for most operations aside from SVE, we're wasting 192 bytes
of it. Which is ok given that we don't have to pay the cost of a heap
alocation and 256 bytes isn't all that much overall.

With the introduction of the Arm Scalable Matrix extension there is a new
array storage register, ZA. This register is essentially a square made up of
SVE vectors. Therefore ZA could be up to 64kb in size.

99% of operations will never touch ZA and making every stack frame 64kb+ just
for that slim chance is a bad idea.

Instead I'm switching register handling to use SmallVector with a stack allocation
size of kTypicalRegisterByteSize. kMaxRegisterByteSize will be used in places
where we can't predict the size of register we're reading (in the GDB remote client).

The result is that the 99% of small register operations can use the stack
as before and the actual ZA operations will move to the heap as needed.

I tested this by first working out -wframe-larger-than values for all the
libraries using the arrays previously. With this change I was able to increase
kMaxRegisterByteSize to 256*256 without hitting those limits. With the
exception of the GDB server which needs to use a max size buffer.

12dee9d3cd [lldb][Android] Support zip .so file
In Android API level 23 and above, dynamic loader is able to load .so file
directly from APK, which is zip file.

The .so file is page aligned and uncompressed, so
ObjectFileELF::GetModuleSpecifications works with .so file offset and size
directly from zip file without extracting it. (D152757)

GDBRemoteCommunicationServerCommon::GetModuleInfo returns a module spec to LLDB
with "zip_path!/so_path" file spec, which is passed through from Android
dynamic loader, and the .so file offset and size.

PlatformAndroid::DownloadModuleSlice uses 'shell dd' to download the .so file
slice from the zip file with the .so file offset and size.

83a6a0a620 [lldb] Print lldbassert to debugger diagnostics
When hitting an lldbassert in a non-assert build, we emit a blurb
including the assertion, the triggering file and line and a pretty
backtrace leading up to the issue. Currently, this is all printed to
stderr. That's fine on the command line, but when used as library, for
example from Xcode, this information doesn't make it to the user. This
patch uses the diagnostic infrastructure to report LLDB asserts as
diagnostic events.

The patch is slightly more complicated than I would've liked because of
layering. lldbassert is part of Utility while the debugger diagnostics
are implemented in Core.

57154a63a0 [lldb] Introduce FileSpec::GetComponents
This patch introduces FileSpec::GetComponents, a method that splits a
FileSpec's path into its individual components. For example, given
/foo/bar/baz, you'll get back a vector of strings {"foo", "bar", baz"}.

The motivation here is to reduce the use of
`FileSpec::RemoveLastPathComponent`. Mutating a FileSpec is expensive,
so providing a way of doing this without mutation is useful.

1370a1cb5b [lldb] Add support for negative integer to {SB,}StructuredData
This patch refactors the `StructuredData::Integer` class to make it
templated, makes it private and adds 2 public specialization for both
`int64_t` & `uint64_t` with a public type aliases, respectively
`SignedInteger` & `UnsignedInteger`.

It adds new getter for signed and unsigned interger values to the
`StructuredData::Object` base class and changes the implementation of
`StructuredData::Array::GetItemAtIndexAsInteger` and
`StructuredData::Dictionary::GetValueForKeyAsInteger` to support signed
and unsigned integers.

This patch also adds 2 new `Get{Signed,Unsigned}IntegerValue` to the
`SBStructuredData` class and marks `GetIntegerValue` as deprecated.

Finally, this patch audits all the caller of `StructuredData::Integer`
or `StructuredData::GetIntegerValue` to use the proper type as well the
various tests that uses `SBStructuredData.GetIntegerValue`.

10a50762ca [lldb] Define lldbassert based on NDEBUG instead of LLDB_CONFIGURATION_DEBUG
Whether assertions are enabled or not is orthogonal to the build type
which could lead to surprising behavior for lldbassert. Previously, when
doing a debug build with assertions disabled, lldbassert would become a
NOOP, rather than printing an error like it does in a release build. By
definining lldbassert in terms of NDEBUG, it behaves like a regular
assert when assertions are enabled, and like a soft assert.

25495c9b4c [lldb][NFCI] Remove n^2 loops and simplify iterator usage
The code inside Broadcaster makes usage of iterators using olden C++ coding
style. Hidden in this old style is a couple of N^2 loops: we iterate over a map
(sequentially), removing the first element that matches some predicate. The
search is _always_ done from the start of the map, which implies that, if the
map has N elements and if all matches happen on the second half of the map, then
we visit the first N/2 elements exactly N/2 * N/2 times.

Ideally some of the code here would benefit from `std::map`s own "erase_if", but
this is only available with C++20:

cd05ffdbb2 [lldb] Remove distribution_id from ArchSpec
The qHostInfo packet in the gdb-remote communication protocol specifies
that distribution_id can be set, so lldb handles that. But we store that
in the ArchSpec representing the "Host" platform (whatever platform the
debug server is running on). This field is otherwise unused in ArchSpec,
so it would be a lot easier if we stored that information at the
gdb-remote communication layer.

Sidenote: The distribution_id field is currently unused but I did not
want to remove it in case some folks found it useful (e.g. in downstream
forks).

6fcdfc378c [lldb] Change return type of FileSpec::GetFileNameExtension
These don't really need to be in ConstStrings. It's nice that comparing
ConstStrings is fast (just a pointer comparison) but the cost of
creating the ConstString usually already includes the cost of doing a
StringRef comparison anyway, so this is just extra work and extra memory
consumption for basically no benefit.

6382fcb16d [lldb/Utility] Add opt-in shadow mode to event listeners
This patch augments lldb's event listeners with a new shadow mode.

As the name suggests, this mode allows events to be copied to an
additional listener to perform event monitoring, without interferring
with the event life cycle.

One of our use case for this, is to be able to listen to public process
events while making sure the events will still be delivered to the
default process listener (the debugger listener in most cases).

This patch is a simple refactor that unifies the default and hijack
listener methods and attributes between ProcessAttachInfo and
ProcessLaunchInfo.

These 2 classes are both derived from the ProcessInfo base class so this
patch moves the listeners attributes and getter/setter methods to the
base class.

77e3914be7 [lldb][NFCI] Stop creating additional temporary string in Log::VAPrintf
Instead of creating a std::string from the `SmallString`,
let's just use a std::string from the start. I initially tried to make
`SmallString` work but getting it right proved complicated because
`LogHandler::Emit` will take its `StringRef` parameter and touch the raw
`const char *` from it directly, which isn't guaranteed to be
null-terminated with a `SmallString`.

I changed `WriteMessage` to take a `StringRef` instead of a
`const std::string &` for flexibility.

8bddb13c24 [lldb] Change parameter type of StructuredData::ParseJSON
Instead of taking a `const std::string &` we can take an
`llvm::StringRef`. The motivation for this change is that many of the
callers of `ParseJSON` end up creating a temporary `std::string` from an existing
`StringRef` or `const char *` in order to satisfy the API. There's no
reason we need to do this.

c8bb7c234c [lldb] Remove use of ConstString from Args::GetShellSafeArgument
Having the names of various shells in ConstString's StringPool is not
really necessary, especially if they are otherwise not going to be there
in the first place. For example, if the person debugging uses bash on
their system, the `shell` parameter will have its `m_filename` set to a
ConstString containing "bash". However, fish, tcsh, zsh, and sh will
probably never be used and are just taking up space in the StringPool.

601583e5a3 [lldb/Utility] Fix layering violation caused by ScriptedMetadata
This patch moves `ScriptedMetadata.h` from the `Interpreter` directory to
the `Utility` sub-directory since `ProcessInfo.h` depends on it.

It also gets rid of the unused `OptionGroupPythonClassWithDict`
constructor for `ScriptedMetadata` which would address the layering
violation.

b9d4c94a60 [lldb/Plugins] Add Attach capabilities to ScriptedProcess
This patch adds process attach capabilities to the ScriptedProcess
plugin. This doesn't really expects a PID or process name, since the
process state is already script, however, this allows to create a
scripted process without requiring to have an executuble in the target.

In order to do so, this patch also turns the scripted process related
getters and setters from the `ProcessLaunchInfo` and
`ProcessAttachInfo` classes to a `ScriptedMetadata` instance and moves
it in the `ProcessInfo` class, so it can be accessed interchangeably.

This also adds the necessary SWIG wrappers to convert the internal
`Process{Attach,Launch}InfoSP` into a `SB{Attach,Launch}Info` to pass it
as argument the scripted process python implementation and convert it
back to the internal representation.

2f88c07cf8 [lldb] StructuredData should not truncate uint64_t values
In json::Value, getAsInteger returns an optional<int64_t> and getAsNumber
returns an optional<double>. If a value is larger than what an int64_t
can hold but smaller than what a uint64_t can hold, the getAsInteger
function will fail but the getAsNumber will succeed. However, the value
shouldn't be interpreted as a double.

Add the ability to remove diagnostic callbacks. This is necessary for
diagnostics who's lifetime is tied to objects that can be destroyed.

I also ran `git clang-format` to get the headers in the right order for
the new location, which has changed the order of other headers in two

1d7961fd1a [LLDB][RISCV] Add RVV registers enums
RVV stands for "RISC-V V Extension", which adds 32 vector registers, and seven unprivileged CSRs (vstart, vxsat, vxrm, vcsr, vtype, vl, vlenb) to a base scalar RISC-V ISA.

The base vector extension is intended to provide general support for data-parallel execution within the 32-bit instruction encoding space, with later vector extensions supporting richer functionality for certain domains.
